I am a Manitowoc native, born and raised here. My wife, Connie and I reside in Manitowoc have three sons, Derek, who is attending college in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Daniel, who is attending UW Green Bay, and David who is currently attending Roncalli High School.
A 1982 graduate of Roncalli High School, I have remained involved at Roncalli as well as St. Francis Assisi Parish and School. My past volunteer involvement at the schools and parish include various fundraising committees, board and finance councils, as well as coaching several school sports teams. I have also served on numerous other boards including Felician Village and the former St Mary’s Parish.
Prior to my entering the Financial Services field in 2001, I owned and operated a local business for fifteen years. During this time, my business sponsored 25-30 local sports teams annually, including recreation softball, basketball and volleyball.
I recently ended a run of 21 years as Chairman of Lakeshore Weekend, a fundraiser benefitting Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. During its 26-year run, and with the help of a great committee, this event was able to raise $1.5 million for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
I have been involved in Manitowoc Youth Baseball/Softball Association (MYBA) since the year 2000. First serving as a coach in the league and currently serving as the league Treasurer and President. We have seen many positive changes during this time, including the successful fundraising campaign and construction of a new four-diamond complex located at Citizen Park in Manitowoc. This $2.2 million facility is a wonderful addition to our community and will be utilized for our youth for decades to come!
